Shellac in Fedora, Get Nailed ‘Yes That’s Impressive’

I got lovely shellac done by one of the ladies at the place I work at and loved it. Sadly, my nails have been growing out pretty quickly so this past week another one of the girls did a reverse French on them to make the shellac manicure last a bit longer. In genius! Thank you ladies!

I love plaid. There's just something about it that screams cozy, comfy and warm. Yet, with a little help it can look effortless and still put together. It’s endless the outfits that float through my mind when I think of wearing plaid, especially a classic color combination like this one. Hello to lumber jack Jess!

recap. 09.16.12.

01. I started a new job this past week. I'm not the greatest when it comes to change and all that but I’ve realized that I need to embrace change and just go with it! I saw this quote the other day, "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” ― Neale Donald Walsch and it really changed my outlook on my nerves. Change is pretty uncomfortable, yet. Worth it. I want to get a tattoo in the next little while that says, 'I want adventure... I want uncharted.' I feel before I get this tattoo I really need to embrace that lifestyle. Embrace all that comes my way. 

02. I’m getting totally sidetracked now. I started a new job at a beauty spa type place. So swanky and yet it has a great modern vibe to it. I totally love the staff there and the job itself. That being said I’ve been working since Thursday and won't get a day off till Wednesday. My feet are killing but my pockets will be happy come payday! 

03. I've got some lovely things plan for my couple days off which will all unfold sooner or later.

Sometimes it's really nice to be a girly girl, you know?!

I'm usually one for the leather and lace... and studs instead of grace. alright alright enough with the rhyming. But yes. Usually I go for a 'harder' look, but it's always nice to put on a dress - especially a floral one at that.

For most that know me, I'm not one to dress girly. But I do enjoy getting pretty every so often. 
But know this - come fall I'll be wrapping myself up in boots, my Kenya, scarves and layers… oooohhh babaay. I can’t wait!
